Cobalt Lend is a decentralized lending platform on the Ethereum (ERC20) blockchain that brings borrowers into a single voting community so that they can receive loans of any size and without bank control. It is a fully community driven platform that aims to facilitate lending and borrowing. These loans will be available to the community through their devices with a tiered collateral structure. Moreover, the borrower can take out a loan with any asset that the Cobalt Lend treasury possesses. The borrower blocks the contribution in the smart contract, after which the community votes on the approval of the loan, and if a positive decision is made, funds are allocated to the borrower, as well as CBLT tokens as a motivating factor, regardless of whether or not the borrower fulfills the conditions of smart contract. If the loan is refused, the smart contract returns the collateral to the borrower. After the loan is repaid, the collateral will be unblocked and returned to the borrower. And the interest on the loan paid by the borrower goes to the Treasury and is eventually redistributed among the community. If the terms of the loan are not met, the collateral will be sent to cover losses. In other words, the Cobalt Lend community will own a pool of funds from which any member of the community can borrow at any time if the community votes for him. And the main and only criterion for the community to make a decision to issue a loan is the merits of the project and the security of the loan provided by the borrower.

Community participation is the main goal of the Cobalt Lend ecosystem. This will be the number one priority when implementing any upgrade or change to the Cobalt Lend protocol. Cobalt Lend is a blockchain-based protocol that allows the community to approve lending with minimal fees and low overhead, which will benefit both borrowers and the community at large. Stakers (validators) are a kind of pillar of the Cobalt Lend ecosystem. They will receive a reward in the form of a certain percentage of transaction fees, as well as dividends paid from the treasury in case of positive performance from projects that received funding through a public vote. This will be a good motivation for stakers (validators) to take a more active part in the community voting in order to approve exactly those projects that can potentially bring them good income.
It must be said that the Treasury will conduct periodic buybacks of the Cobalt token (CBLT). This, along with the "coin burning" that occurs regularly in the protocol, will increase the overall value of tokens for investors. Cobalt Lend provides not only lending services, but also a wide range of digital IT services (this includes the design and development of blockchain technology through a variety of partnerships around the world). In addition, Cobalt Lend offers complete mentoring and guidance when needed in the startup process. Cobalt Lend is also working on building e-commerce websites as well as collaborating with payment providers to bridge the gap between crypto assets and the real world.
